Kia ora friends. Life has been really hard for so many since omicron arrived in Aotearoa. We want to thank our local neighbourhood and all the people who continue to support us even during these hard times. Thank you for visiting Coffee Pen and enjoying our food and coffee.
The local story is hard but the global story is even harder. The war on Ukraine started in February. So many terrible daily stories have made us weep with sadness and pain. We want to do any little thing we can for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. One little thing is the decision to reprint our special "Pen Book" in a limited run. This book of favourite Coffee Pen recipes was named by @NZHViva in 'The Best Cookbooks of the Year' and we received beautiful notes of feedback from far and wide. We had many requests to print it again, and we have found the right reason.
$60 NZD per book
*All* proceeds from sales of this second print run will be donated to Ukraine, save for the material cost (a very kindly discounted printing/paper fee with the generous people at @benefitzdma, @bfpapers). Your donations will go to www.adra.org.nz/ukraine. All the creative team members behind the book are more than happy to donate their share to Ukraine. It is the least we can do. Please donate to ease suffering in a small way with this fundraising reprint.
